Serve as the data custodian for the SIS.
Manage accurate and efficient collection, recording, maintenance, and reporting of academic records of both current and former students at College of Southern Idaho; academic records include attendance, grades, registration data, transcripts, athletic eligibility, international compliance etc.
Oversees and coordinates the development and implementation of the academic catalog.
Interpret and enforce academic policies and provide guidance and oversight to maintain the professional integrity of the office.
Directs the management and operation of the student records database and the supervision of the staff concerning academic policies and procedures, the database, and computer applications.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates the Registrar’s Office, including the direct supervision of the four Student Records Specialists. Complete performance reviews and development plans for all direct reports.
Provides leadership, training, and oversight within the Registrar’s office that underscores the highest levels of customer service and care.
Produce data analysis and reports on-demand for various departments, in support of enabling accurate, fact-based decision making.
Foster a campus-wide culture focused on student success, service excellence, and data-informed decisions in alignment with the institution’s mission, vision, and values.
Works with faculty and administrators to align academic programs with the strategic mission of the college.
Direct and coordinate college registration activities including enforcement of Academic Standing requirements
Co-Lead Commencement festivities, including preparation of the program, facility logistics, hosting of Grad Fest, budgeting, etc.
Supervise the coordination, evaluation, and certification of all graduation applications.
Manage the annual operating budget and assist in developing the budget and allocation of funds
Identify, clarify, and resolve complex issues which span multiple areas, using advanced technical and professional knowledge requiring broad discretion and judgement.
Attend curriculum meetings and participate in discussions concerning the development and changes to the curriculum.
Serves as an advisor to the curriculum committee, providing information on academic policies and implementable solutions. A deep understanding of the operational and cross-functional aspects of the student information system is required when translating curriculum data into the student information system
An advisor/troubleshooter to members of the Registrar’s office to maximize opportunities for process improvement.
Actively participate in student orientation.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
5-7 years progressively responsible experience in a Registrar’s, Enrollment Management, or Student Services operation at an institution of higher education; demonstrated knowledge of FERPA and related federal/state regulations.
A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Strong working knowledge of federal and state laws, FERPA and mandates pertaining to enrollment and student records and to institutional compliance, including knowledge of best practices, current trends and issues in higher education pertaining to academic records.
Demonstrated strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual uniqueness are valued and leveraged to achieve organization goals.
Excellent student centric customer service skills.
Excellent organizational communication (oral and written) skills with the ability to work with internal and external contacts successfully and collaboratively; and strong managerial/supervisory and leadership skills.
Experience with student information systems, including development of reports, plans, budgets, and regulations related to student records.
Technology background with experience in some or all the following areas: Anthology, Reach, Engage.

Preferred Qualifications
Clear understanding of academic programs, degree requirements and academic policies in a university/educational setting.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead staff to optimal levels of productivity, and balance multiple projects in stressful situations, while meeting deadlines and maintaining positive relations.
