The role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the accounting functions of the Collective Wellness Group including but not limited to Anytime Fitness and Xtend Barre. Day to day will include:

• Authorising supplier payment runs
• Reviewing prepared bank reconciliations
• Cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Loan account reconciliations including intercompany loans
• General ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Journal postings, calculation & Analysis of revenue
• IAS/BAS/GST returns, monthly and quarterly
• Payroll tax returns, monthly and annual reconciliation
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to key business stakeholders
• Preparing group monthly Financial and Management reports and providing financial commentaries
• Statutory reporting and preparation for financial audits
• Preparation of consolidation statement
• Supporting the CFO and FC with budgeting & forecasting
• Development of a comprehensive procedures’ manual for the finance department
• Financial modelling

Skills and who you are:

Together with demonstrated success in a similar role will have:-

• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong technical accounting experience working in a generalist accounting experience with a minimum 3 years post-degree accounting experience
• Commercial finance experience working as part of a small finance team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong results focus and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in XERO accounting software preferred
• Experience working in Franchise based industry is highly advantageous
