Accounting Assistant Needed

A growing SaaS company in Spokane is looking for an Accounting Assistant. You will be accomplishing various accounting duties ranging from AR, AP, payroll, and general accounting. You should have to have a good grasp of accrual accounting, and industry best practices. You will be working with a CPA who is well-versed in industry accounting, fosters a team environment, and is dedicated to mentoring accountants and helping with their career progression. We offer a great work-life balance, benefits, and flexible hours. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, experience with excel, and knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred. Those with public accounting experience are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• General accounting duties such as AR, AP, payroll, and state sales tax reporting.
• Assist in the month-end close process.
• Develop and generate ad-hoc reports to monitor financial performance.
• Assist with external audits and other year-end reporting requirements.
• Assist in the implementation of controls, policies and procedures to support the growth and expansion of the company.
• Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• ERP implementation knowledge beneficial.

Qualifications:

• 4 – 6 years of accounting experience preferred (public accounting, CAS, or technology industry).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required (pivot tables, formulas).
• Familiarity with QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
