This position is responsible for the timely and cost effective planning of Operations resources, equipment, and effective inventory management of materials to meet the forecasted demand for the Global Process Technology Center Pilot Plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop the weekly/daily/monthly schedules for the Process Technology Center (PTC) Pilot Plant.

• Manage and coordinate manufacturing needs to ensure that the plant is adhering to production schedules to meet the needs of the R&D team.

• Create and maintain all the master data such as material masters, production planning data such as Bill of Materials, Rate Routing and Production Orders.

• Review demand to develop a production schedule to meet customer demands where appropriate; Preventive Maintenance, logistics , and capacity constraints and Operations/Making parameters.

• Manage inventory of finished goods, and ordering raw and packaging materials to support the effective operations.

• Manage the inventory accuracy of all raw and packaging materials.

• Define for each material accurate MRP data such as Safety Stock, re-order quantity, expiration dates, slow moving and obsolete materials in order to maximize efficiencies and minimize cost and waste, while increasing the levels of service and quality.

• Management of PTC Materials delivery/returns to ensure there is no impact on production.

• Manage the 3rd party provider/Supplier material management and waste stream performance scorecard.

• Maintain open lines of communication with key customers, internal teams, cross functional teams, and vendors to deliver continuous improvement for the PTC.

• Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams to drive higher levels of performance, sustainability, and cost effectiveness.

• Support plant initiatives through involvement in activities/functions outside of Materials Planning.

• Develop and train personnel on the technical and correct usage of SAP transactions and material consumptions/inventory management.

• Other assigned responsibilities.

Skills and Experience Required

• BS Degree in engineering, technical , business, logistics, or relevant work experience

• 2-3 yrs experience in engineering with production management experience

• Very Good communication skill

• Manufacturing/plant experience and/or experience in other GSC functions.

• Familiarity with Company practices related to EOHS, Quality and Microbiology, and plant financials

Salary Range $68,880- $101,220 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
