Software Engineer – Mid Level (.Net)

About the role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, in this role you will use your experience to design, implement and maintain platform services following current best practice in the industry.

You will champion, and practice great engineering principles.

You will be an enthusiastic contributor to the team. You will be a self-starter and show initiative reaching out to other Coles team members to accomplish the best outcome for both your team and Coles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop integration solutions on the Azure Cloud: microservices, functions, APIs
• Support existing services within Digital Platform Services
• Code review, testing, deployment, and maintainance of platform services
• Continual learning and knowledge of the technologies used in the Coles. As directed by the engineering leadership within Digiatal Platform Services
• You will be contributing to a culture of collaboration, inclusiveness, openness and safety
• Maintain solution designs and operational documentation of platform services

Good things you’ll need

To be successful in this role and team, we require the following criteria to be met:

• Minimum of 2-3 years professional experience as an engineer working with .Net, Cloud and Infrastructure in product development teams
• Experience working in complex system architectures, operations and support structures
• An interest in API, Infrastructure design and DevOps ways of working1
• Relevant post-secondary qualification (in technology engineering discipline such as computer science, information systems engineering etc)
