About the role
At Coles, our people are at the heart of our business and in Talent Acquisition (TA) we take our roles as the talent custodians for the business very seriously. We have an opportunity for a seasoned TA Leader to lead and manage our high performing corporate, otherwise known as Store Support Centre (SSC), TA team. You’re passionate about being a cheerleader for your team, developing your team and removing barriers so your team can deliver their best and find the best talent for our business.
With an ambition to be Australia’s best corporate TA function, we’re looking for a leader with experience heading up corporate functions for large businesses. You’re a thought leader and will bring positive energy to actively mentor the Talent Acquisition Leads to deliver diverse talent across our SSC roles everyday.
What you’ll be doing
Day-to day, you’ll work with the TA Leadership team, TA Leads and P&C leaders and senior business leaders. To all these groups, you will share insights on key market movements, industry trends and influence the business on best practice recruitment. You’ll also leverage your relationship skills to understand critical talent needs, talent gaps in the business and work with TA Leads and recruitment marketing to deliver bespoke TA campaigns.
You’ll also:
Manage key relationships with business and P&C leaders to understand the business strategy and deliver against critical capabilities aligned to the business strategies
Ensure Talent Acquisition leads develop pipelines of talent and attract and engage diverse talent pools, supporting the business needs now and in the future environment
Enable the team to effectively deliver end-to-end recruitment process management, ensuring and improving for a great customer and candidate experience through a continuous improvement mindset
Provide recruitment and strategic market insights and advice to business leaders throughout the process and in planning for future needs
Contribute as a leader to the Central and TA leadership teams
Good things you’ll need
We’re looking for an inclusive TA Leader with proven experience in coaching successful internal talent acquisition teams in a large, complex environment (preferably retail).
You’ll also be:
Strategic thinker with the ability to leverage data and insights to improvement the recruitment experience for our candidates and hiring managers
An innovative and collaborative approach to support TA Leads to trial new ideas and avenues for strategic recruitment
Highly adept at influencing TA outcomes at all levels of stakeholders through partnering skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced and deliver the SSC TA agenda in a dynamic complex environment
Strong knowledge of best industry best practice processes with a focus on Continuous Improvement and simplification
Prioritising execution alongside strategic thinking when planning#LI-BU
