Pay: Starting pay up to $18/hour plus a $4.50 Shift Differential

Summary: The Diamond Saw Operator 1 is responsible for the setup and operation of the saws

Duties:

· Loads and unloads saws with a crane

· Applies patterns and layout of stone to best utilize raw material

· Reads shop tickets to decipher work to be done

· Checks work for errors before and after cutting stone by comparing work to the production ticket

· Loads pre-programmed profiles from the network

· Levels and squares up the stone on the saw bed and indexes the saw to the stone

· Braces/wedges stone as needed to prevent movement when cutting

· Reads a tape measure, imperial and metric

· Changes blades as needed

· Works as a team and cross-trains in other areas as needed

· Performs 5S and Total Productive Maintenance duties

· Communicates with the Lead or Supervisor for work priority

· Scans bar codes on production tickets to record work performed in the JDE system

· Understands general and job-specific acceptance of stone quality and appearance criteria

Requirements:

· Works safely according to company policies

· Maintains strong computer skills

· Works independently with excellent time management and organizational skills

· Communicates clearly and professionally

· Stands and walks regularly in an environment with constant and intermittent noise

· Wears protective safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, and other personal protective equipment as required
