Main Responsibilities

Kentron Construction, part of the Terus Construction Group., is seeking Asphalt Labourers for its Paving Crew based out of Kitimat, BC. Terus Construction Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.

Duties / Tasks:
General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews.

Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.

Operate equipment as needed.

Equipment cleanup as needed.

May be called upon to run small power tools.

Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.

Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.

Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Experience:
Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent required

Previous experience on a Paving Crew is an asset

Requirements

Out of town travel as required.

Overtime as required.

Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.

Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.

Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
