Key Internal/External Relationships

Reports to Manufacturing Controller

Works directly with Accounting and Operations

Main Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

Record monthly activity for production/consumption of inventory

Customer Invoice credits and rebills

GL account and inventory ledger reconciliations and post adjustment entries when required

Work closely with other finance team members to assist with the month-end close

Ensure Inventory products are setup correctly in JWS & JDE

Liaise with local admin staff on any ticketing issues or any other technical issue

Post journal entries as required

Analysis & Reporting

Preparation and review of Monthly Manufacturing Financials Statements and other reporting for local companies and plants

Help with ad hoc reporting requests working with database and spreadsheets

Creation and distribution of new reports through Reports Now, Excel, and Queries as requested

Misc. duties, meetings and other tasks provided by Manufacturing Controller when required

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration or Accounting. Working towards CPA designation would be considered an asset

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will work well with the Operations Team ensuring costing is accurate, timely, and reliable.

This position will appeal to a bright, motivated individual who thrives in a demanding and fast paced work environment.

This person must be highly organized and skilled at multitasking.

This person will have developed skills and knowledge of Microsoft products with good knowledge of Excel. VBA and Query based reporting would be an asset.

At least 1 year Industry experience and an understanding of JDE, Heavy Job, Heavy Bid and IFRS accounting and finance is preferred.
