About role

As a Amazon Redshift (AWS) Senior developer , you have superior knowledge and high effectiveness in engineering complex system and platform implementations in the Cloud, identifying and developing automation opportunities, and applying automated build / delivery and continuous integration practices in complex environment.

You are always looking ahead to ensure your solutions fit in the bigger picture and the long-term strategy.

Our ideal candidate (Key Skills & Experience)

Skills & Experience:

• Primary Skills – Amazon Redshift, AWS
• AWS certified Cloud Practitioner
• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 8+ years IT experience in a large enterprise organisation.
• Excellent knowledge/experience in the application of Agile and Lean approaches.
• Strong SQL background, with capability to Write SQL with a performance mindset, troubleshoot performance, mentor and train other staff.
• Deep understanding of databases, data storage and data movement tools including how optimize development & approaches aligning to best practices.
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services and Cloud based services (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Previous exposure to following technologies is highly desirable – Database Migration Services (DMS), Redshift.
• Good Customer Management and Witten & Verbal Communication
• Team player, collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
• Insurance Domain Experience is added advantage.
