Codemoji INC Hiring for After School Enrichment Teacher at Washington, DC Full Time

Codemoji is a fast-growing Ed-Tech startup that provides a coding curriculum for students looking to expand their coding knowledge in a unique way. We teach coding via our online platform, unplugged activities, robotics, and circuit boards. We are seeking an instructor to implement our after school curriculum to elementary and/or middle school students. Codemoji provides all the materials and lesson plans for you to utilize, no previous coding knowledge is necessary. Our ideal candidates are educators with classroom experience, who understand best practices, relationship building with students and parents, and the importance of timeliness. In this position, we ask that the instructor have access to a laptop to bring to each program session, as much of our curriculum is digital. Students will each have their own computers as well. Confidence in fluently navigating Google and the ability to troubleshoot items such as connecting to wifi are necessary.

Class Times:

Location 1:

• 13 Monday classes running September 12th – December 12th with no class being held on October 10th Class Time: 4pm – 5pm

• 13 Tuesday Classes running September 13th – December 13th with no class being held on October 11th Class Time: 4pm – 5pm
• 12 Thursday Classes running September 15th – December 15th with no class being held on November 3rd and November 24th Class Time: 4pm – 5pm

Location 2:

9 classes on Wednesday’s starting the week of September the 12th
Class Time: 3:15-4:15 PM

As a Codemoji Instructor you will be responsible for:

• Showing up prior to each program time and staying until all students are picked up or school protocols are met.
• Passing a background check.
• Reading over lesson plans, test robots/circuit boards, and review Google Slides prior to each program session.
• Our Curriculum Designer will be available upon request for questions regarding implementing lesson plans and will provide onboarding prior to your first program session.
• Provide a safe and fun space for students in which you are building positive relationships with the school community.

You will need to be cleared by HR this requires background checks, etc.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $75.00 – $100.00 per hour
