As the Technical Accounting Manager you will report into the Director of Group Accounting & Reporting and act as a key point of contact for the finance team. The role is highly visible working closely with internal stakeholders at all levels across the business and external advisors.

This role requires someone with strong knowledge of AASB Accounting standards with previous ASX environment experience in order to thrive. The role includes responsibilities for statutory reporting and accounting policy guidance but also provides an opportunity to advise on strategic transactions including new investments.

You Bring Your Skills and Experience

As we grow, we are looking for people with highly specialised skills who share our passion for changing the lives of our customers.

To add value to Cochlear in this role you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• CA/CPA with 5 years post qualification experience
• Providing leadership to the transactional accounting team, via hands on support and creation of development opportunities for team members
• Experience with large ERP systems. Oracle would be highly advantageous, or alternatively good knowledge of SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft or similar.
• Experience with reporting tools such as HFM or similar

• Strong AIFRS experience in writing policy documents for accounting standards and technical papers

• Previous experience with providing accounting advice on different investment structures would be advantageous
