Cochlear Asia-Pacific, the fastest growing division of Cochlear Ltd, has a direct market presence in Japan, Korea, China, India, SE Asia and Australia & New Zealand. Cochlear conducts most of its leading research, development and manufacturing of cochlear implants in the Asia Pacific region with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Australia and repair facilities in Malaysia.

The Clinical Educator – Audiology role will directly report to the Director, Education, Prof. Engagement & Technical Services, and will be based in our Sydney Office. In this role, the successful Clinical Educator will have the opportunity to support Cochlear Asia Pacific (APAC) in driving business growth. This role will participate in the development and implementation of the clinical education strategy for the Asia Pacific region by identifying learning needs and developing advanced clinical training programs and materials to grow competencies and skills. The clinical knowledge and in-depth expertise will help support clinicians and recipients around the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide clinical expertise to APAC, global customers, field teams, and professional partners and customers.
• Lead high-quality clinical, theory and practicum-based training to existing Cochlear staff and relevant healthcare professionals in the APAC region.
• Partner to develop, execute, track and review outcomes of education programs.
• Drive quality by supporting the development of technical documentation across all product areas.
• Manage the accuracy and availability of learning materials by working with the global learning solutions team.
• Manage reports, conference content or other information that is pertinent to the Cochlear business.

You Bring Your Skills and Experience

As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Minimum:

• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience working with cochlear implants and other implantable hearing solutions.
• Graduate qualifications in Audiology.
• At least 2 years education/training experience.
• Familiarity with curriculum development.
• Professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to travel up to 40% within the Asia Pacific region.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
