Are you seeking a commercial or pricing focused analytical role in a growing company that offers global opportunities for development?

Our client, a leading public transport solutions provider, is currently seeking a Commercial/Pricing Analyst who will conduct cost modelling, pricing and perform analysis (strategic, operational, and financial) for business development opportunities.

Pricing projects include renewals of existing contracts, development of new bids and subsequent budget analysis/review.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure data integrity and inclusion of all necessary components for the proposal/bid
• Coordinate and maintain a pricing work plan & timeline, in response to RFPs
• Lead development of pricing review materials/presentations and provide input to governance review presentations, as a service to the BD leadership team
• Ensure that the basic operating and financial information used in pricing model templates is reasonable, current and fully applicable to the project assignment, which may include deviations by geographic area and project/transit mode type
• Ensure efficiency and competitiveness in pricing, utilizing historical operating cost data and standard industry operating ratios / KPIs
• Work directly with the department heads in determining key pricing inputs, such as service hours and miles, staffing, labor rates, fringe rates, maintenance expenses, insurance rates, and other administrative/operating costs
• Present costing proposal to the senior leadership team.

Skills required for this role:

• Degree qualification mandatory, with a background in transport, engineering, economics, business, science or mathematics preferable
• 2+ years of financial, pricing or commercial modelling experience, with preference given to experience in fast-paced practice areas (transaction services, forensics, crisis management, etc.)
• Advanced MS Excel skills with experience writing and/or interpreting complex excel formulas, macros, and reporting tools
• Highly organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication, with a high degree of professionalism
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs such as PowerPoint and Word

Location:

This role can be performed remotely. Head office is based in Boston so occasional travel to that location will be required.

Remuneration

This role is offering a basic of $90,000 to $95,000 plus company benefits.
