Primary Functions:
The Account Manager of Related Entities (AMRE) will lead the charge in providing hands on support and oversight for CVCA’s large portfolio of auxiliary ventures. These ventures include leased vineyards, partnerships, and hospitality VRBO’s. This role is complex and involves a variety of challenging agriculture industry businesses. This role will oversee the entire portfolio and cohesively integrate each of the businesses with the existing operations to support the long-term, sustainable financial success of the organization. The AMRE will also evaluate current operations and be a change agent for increased productivity, efficiency and optimum cross-department collaboration and synchronicity. This role is a key member of the executive team and will work closely with owners and the existing management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial/Accounting responsibilities:
· Hands-on management/processing of full-cycle accounting functions including AR/AP, cost accounting, general ledger, auditing, tax preparations.
· Support development of detailed annual and long range financial and operating planning and budgeting process, including capital allocation.
· Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and providing thoughtful reporting and analysis on monthly operations and variances.
· Develop finance-based strategies for each venture by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations on strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives for each venture with a focus on sustainability and long-term success.
· Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies, resolving problems, and implementing change.
· Develop venture prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; analysis of acquisition and expansion prospects; evaluate current operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and systems enhancement; recommendations and management of capital acquisitions.
· Collaborative and regular meetings with respective management/leaders to discuss all aspects of operations and prospective ventures.
Account Management:
· Support management and leaders in managing the overall client relationship.
· Collaborates with leadership in the strategic planning process and forecasting.
· Maintain and improve existing relationships; participate in the acquisition of new, relevant, and sustainable clientele.
· Collaborating with internal departments to ensure communication, transparency, and support across the ventures.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Full cycle financial statement preparation; knowledge of tax reporting and preparation
· Financial planning and strategy
· Forecasting
· Budget development, analysis, and reporting
· Agricultural Finance preferred
Education, Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting required
· MBA preferred
· Minimum 10 years’ accounting experience in required
· 5+ years senior management required
· Experience in complex, fast moving environment; ability to prioritize and adapt quickly changing needs
· Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Analytical skills with attention to detail.
· ERP experience preferred
