We are searching for an engaging, passionate, Residence Life Director to help lead our College during this ever-changing Community College environment.

Essential Function: The Director of Residence Life is a live-in position responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and operation of a residential community on campus (i.e. Benton Hall & apartments). The Director must also have the ability to cultivate a positive living and learning environment that promotes student success and development. Understands the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, and the ability to work as a team to increase enrollment and retention in a rural setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises the resident assistants and coordinating on-call shifts.

Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.

Collaborate with the CBC Police Department and other agencies on immediate response to incidents in on-campus housing.

Provides quality supervision to all student residents.

Facilitates key management for residential housing in collaboration with the Facilities team.

Maintains adequate levels of inventory proactively submit requisition request for supplies to meet department requirement.

Initiates and ensures completion of work orders to make necessary repairs to residential housing.

Provides assistance to support residents living needs.

Maintain office hours for walk-in appointments with students.

Identifies problems and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.

Review all Housing applications, coordinate room assignments and maintain all documentation in Microsoft Office 365 shared files.

Assist with coordination and function of any Summer programming at Residence Housing.

Other duties as assigned.

A furnished, air-conditioned, single dorm suite within Benton Hall is provided at no expense, including utilities, small kitchen unit, local telephone service, internet access, and basic cable television. A meal plan is provided to Director of Residential Housing which dining services are available.

Travel Requirements
Travel may be required at various time for this position.

Environment

The Director of Residence Life must be committed to working within an innovative, fast-paced environment that is focused on the providing quality education of students within a residential setting through the development of cohesive living and learning communities.

Physical: Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance. Able to ascend and descend flights of stairs, especially in cases of emergencies.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• At least one year of related work experience; preferably in a community college setting.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.

Preferred qualifications:
