Coalfield Health Center Hiring for Medical Assistant FT or PT at Chapmanville, WV Full Time

Looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who is interested in Full Time or Part Time work with pediatrics and/or adults. This person will work one-on-one with providers. Responsible for entirety of patient flow. This person must have an active CMA certificate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Triage patients for provider’s examination by screening for appropriate information in a timely and accurately manner. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests. Demonstrates efficient patient workflow and appropriate prioritization and triaging of patients.
• On occasion, work front desk when coverage is needed. Greet patients upon arrival and use Coalfield’s EMR system to check patients in, update patient demographics, annual paperwork, and take co-payments.
• Maintains and assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. Considers age-related factors in care, treatment, assessment, and education of patients.
• May be asked to assist with telephone inquiries and communicates effectively with patients and staff regarding test results, medications and treatment instructions as directed by the provider. Treat each call with respect and kindness.
• Arranges for hospitalization admissions, referrals, or performance of special procedures for patients under the direction of the provider.
• Maintains a clean, attractive work area and keeps clinical areas stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
• Cleans patient rooms and sterilizes medical instruments appropriately, etc.
• Learns and maintains up to date knowledge of the Electronic Health Records System and scheduling system used by Coalfield, is able to operate efficiently and accurately as needed. Ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Familiarity with women’s health procedures and intervention as well as MAT services
• Ability to perform CLIA testing on patients as directed by provider.

Pay: $11.00 – $14.00 per hour
