Machinery wholesaler of pipe and tube bending machinery has opportunity for new full time hands-on shop manager to provide daily direction and supervision to shop staff of five. Responsible for overseeing employees and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently. Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, safety and maintenance scheduling of equipment. Assist in repair, construction, maintenance or other tasks involved in client repair work orders and shipments. Create and manage employee schedule, assign duties to shop workers while enforcing company work policy and employee guidelines. Operate shop machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment. Involves strong leadership skills knowledge experience and background in conventional and CNC machining and or fabricating operations preferable. Successful candidate should be looking for a long-term work career must be able to multi-task effectively and pay attention to detail Company will train acceptable candidate on the function, operation and maintenance of our NC and CNC machinery. Knowledge of mechanical drawings, basic electrical circuits, industrial wiring a plus. Candidate will receive training on operation, setup, install, and repair of our tube and pipe bending machinery. Shop will also support sales and customer service of new and existing machines. Daily and monthly responsibility include receiving, shipping and maintain inventory organization. Oversee the light manufacturing of special tooling and parts to expedite product shipments. Position requires organized dedicated individual proficient with computer capable of forming and maintaining schedule for various staff job duties based daily requirements. Support inside sales and customer service as needed to satisfy customers and document activity to CRM. Will assist in the preparation all machinery, in house demonstrations to customers and new machine installations. Some limited travel required to service and or install our machinery. Employee must have positive can-do attitude.
