CMC Markets APAC & Canada Hiring for Head of Institutional Sales APAC & Canada at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

CMC are hiring! We are currently recruiting for a Head of Institutional Sales APAC to join our Institutional Sales team based in our Barangaroo, Sydney office. Please note that this permanent role is only open to Sydney based candidates with full working rights (Citizen/Permanent Resident).

Purpose of the role

To lead and manage the institutional sales and account management functions of the CMC Markets Connect APAC and Canada offices according to the strategy set by the Group Head of Capital Markets and Group Head of Institutional. To further assist, in a similar capacity, the wider international Connect team where viable.

Please note that we operate onsite working and would require you to come into our Barangaroo office 5 days per week.

Key Individual Responsibilities

• Assist the Group Head of Institutional in the overall leadership and management of all institutional functions in the APAC and Canada region and the wider Group including but not limited to Sales, Revenue Generation, Marketing, General Strategy and Product Development
• Ensure successful maintenance and growth of CMC’s Institutional business.
• Set targets and project objectives for the various teams, including sales and account management staff.
• Assist in ensuring that all regional offices maintain compliance with regulatory demands as well as compliance with the overall company strategy.
• Ad hoc work as directed by the Group Head of Capital Markets and Group Head of Institutional.
• Ensure and assist in the alignment of institutional strategy across APAC and Canada office territories.
• Assist the Group Head of Institutional to oversee the ongoing strategic product needs and foster cooperation with other relevant departments towards production implementation.
• Assist in ensuring current and planned product solutions are fit for purpose and meet client demand.
• Assist in ensuring that all Institutional systems and applications have suitable levels of controls and monitoring.
• Drive positive and compliant conduct and culture across the APAC and Canada Connect teams.

Business Unit Responsibilities

Institutional Sales: Responsible for leading new sales to and revenue generation from Institutional customers with respect to the firm’s products and services on a day-to-day basis.

Account Management: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the relationship with clients after the point of sale, including commercial matters, queries and fulfilment of client requests covering Institutional Customers on a day-to-day basis.

Design and manufacturing of products intended for Institutional customers: Assist the Group Head of Institutional in the design and manufacture of appropriate products intended for Institutional Customers of the firm on a day-to-day basis.
