Clothier Careers Hiring for Resume Consultant at Townsville, Queensland, Australia Full Time

Currently providing personalised, professional services including resume writing, interview coaching, outplacement services and online programs – we have a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Based in Townsville, we are looking for someone preferably in the region however we are open to applicants working remotely (must be physically located in Australia).

An opportunity has arisen for a customer focussed individual as a Resume Consultant to join our team. Everything we do is centred on our values – Courage, Connection, and Confidence.

As part of this role, you will:

• Conduct phone consultations and email with clients to get the information needed to prepare their resume, cover letter and/or job application
• Write professionally tailored resumes, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles for clients from entry level up to senior management across a wide range of industries
• Prepare detailed responses to selection criteria for government job applications
• Meet set Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for client satisfaction, turnaround times, and technical delivery

This role would ideally suit someone with a background in resume writing, career development, or similar who is confident in consulting with clients.

You will need to be able to provide your own computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection and phone access. You will also be required to nominate set hours during the week in which your clients can make bookings to speak with you. 

Hours

This is a freelance role where per job is the rate of measure. As a minimum and to begin with, you will need to commit to 5 hours a week. As the role gains momentum, this will increase.

Salary

This is a commission/freelance role, receiving payment per job completed. As a contractor, you will be required to have an ABN. On average, it will work out to be $40-$60 per hour.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

1. Excellent writing skills including the ability to research and interpret complex information and present it in a clear, concise format.
2. The ability and confidence to communicate with a range of clients in different industries.
3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
4. Attention to detail with a genuine concern for delivering a fantastic ‘first impression’ and meet that same standard throughout the service delivery.
5. The ability to complete work with limited direction and supervision, without becoming flustered.
