The Learning and Development Consultant acts as the employee engagement, change adoption and L&D consultant to CBAM projects and initiatives, to ensure projects meet their organisation and cultural goals.
The role acts as the interface between the project management function, subject matter experts, internal comms, HR and L&D to ensure the people-related elements of projects are managed, communicated, implemented and realised in line with their stated outcomes.
In addition, the post holder provides L&D leadership and resource to the wider CBAM HR and L&D agenda.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides expertise in and execution of employee engagement, training and change management within the context of CBAM organisational or system related change.
Leads the needs assessment for training and development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the project.
Responsible for the delivery of L&D related “change, training and comms” activities for CBAM projects, working across and co-ordinating change champions, internal comms and L&D resource.
Working with subject matter experts, ensures impactful training programs are designed, implemented and evaluated using the appropriate channels, tools and methodologies.
Trains trainers and assures instructional quality and appropriate content of consultants and contract resource.
Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
Assesses effectiveness of training in terms of impact and performance.
Provides a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding L&D, employee engagement and change adoption. Identifies/incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
Consults and advises leadership on the wider organisational, cultural and behavioural changes required to meet project outcomes.
Designs and facilitates the implementation of change management programs to support cultural & organisational change in line with our Business Principles.
Facilitates communication across project team members, employees and management.
Ensures there is a roadmap to transition from project to BAU, with regard to any people-related issued, including engagement and adoption of the change.
Contributes to discussions on systems strategy, evaluates existing systems/other products as necessary and make recommendations

Prior experience of managing transformational and technical programmes.
Strong organisational and planning ability, demonstrating resilience and ability to meet challenging deadlines.
Skilled in identifying learning needs and designing comprehensive and practical learning solutions to meet business needs.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
Strong relationship management skills with external suppliers.
Possess strong attention to detail.
Proactive approach and ‘can do’ attitude to solving problems.
