Join Close Brothers HR Team where you will lead on implementing the group’s emerging Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Strategy and Action Plan. Working closely with key external partners and colleague D & I networks and the wider HR team the role holder will support leadership in creating a sense of belonging through embedding inclusion for all where all colleagues feel that they can be themselves at work. The HR Business Partner will initiate, plan, control and report on diversity and inclusion interventions meeting various stakeholder needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUSION STRATEGY AND PLAN
Lead the development and implementation of the Group’s D & I strategy as approved by the Group Executive Committee (Group ExCo). Report to HR Leadership Team (HRLT)and Group Ex Co on progress ensuring practical and effective implementation is achieved within agreed timelines.
Manage our diversity and inclusion initiatives currently structured under the D&I pillars; act as the key contact for each Group Exco sponsor and each Chair of the colleague led networks
Embed diversity & inclusion activities across CBG to build awareness, understanding and capability to realise the benefits of a diverse and inclusive culture
Responsible for execution of agreed initiatives including 10,000 Black Interns, Allyship programme, Mission Gender Equity (formerly 30% Club), Mission Include and social Mobility mentoring scheme
BUSINESS PARTNERING
Support HRBPs in the creation of local D&I committees and facilitate group alignment of initiatives
Provide D&I expertise to the Talent Acquisition team ensuring our recruitment processes are inclusive
Provide D& I expertise to the Learning Business partnering team to ensure that our internal development programmes are representative and focused on diversifying our talent pipeline
COLLEAGUE NETWORKS
Provide guidance to our colleague network committees ensure we have an effective framework with clear accountabilities and strong delivery within agreed objectives
Through the networks ensure the delivery of external and internal diversity and inclusion events eg celebrations diversity calendar events, for example Black History Month
DATA ANALYSIS
Produce D & I dash board and undertake regular monitoring and data analysis and measure progress against key deliverables; establish regular reporting intervals
Use data-driven insights to inform D & I strategies and make recommendations and deliver outcomes to broaden the diversity and inclusion agenda
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
Produce the content for the Gender Pay Gap Reporting, (Reward/Data team to provide the numerical data)
With input from HR Projects Analyst, submit benchmarking data as required eg ENEI, Stonewall, Disability Forum, Social Mobility Index
Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for increasing productivity and developing performance through coaching, mentoring and developing your team members. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
HR professional with experience of general or specialist HR practices
Experience in a diversity and inclusion role with proven track record of delivery, ideally gained in Financial Services
Strong knowledge and understanding of diversity and inclusion best practice
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to translate strategy into tactical plans, identifying and recommending solutions
Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data for reporting and identifying value-creating insight, able to write reports, synthesise information and present to senior and Executive leadership
Credible communicator able to articulate complex information in a simple and compelling way to influence business leaders
Can demonstrate project management skills and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Act as a catalyst for change
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Able to find innovative ways of doing things; committed to continuous improvement
Confident excel and PowerPoint user
