Is a is a thriving, fast growing support team for a multi franchise operator located in Palm Springs Coachella Valley, we are seeking an Accounting Manger that has a passion for food. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Accounting Manger will be responsible for oversight of all accounting, and reporting activities for multiple restaurants. The Accounting Manager will be leading as well as performing day-to-day accounting responsibilities and managing the accounting support team. The Accounting Manager will continues and improves upon the systems and procedures in place and produce timely financial reports and provide the operational teams with actionable information.

Job Description Multi-Unit Restaurant Accounting Manager

Reports To:

Owner and VPF
Required Training/

Education/Experience:
5+ years experience in accounting with a Bachelors in Accounting at an accredit school; Accounting Manager Experience not required but the right attitude is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of Accounting fundamentals

• Proficiency in Excel
• Experience with Accounting Software; Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft GP a plus
• Work experience in Public or Private accounting field

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Supervise and Coach a team of 4 accountants
• Oversight of accounting functions excluding payroll accounting
• Compliance with local and multiple state authorities
• Manage Bank Activity Treasury Management Services (Daily Management)
• Monitor Cash Flow Daily
• Establish and monitor internal controls
• Prepare Monthly Financial Statements
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly
• Oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Ensure compliance with federal/multi state/local authorities
• Monitoring expenditures for each location
• Monitoring cash receipts and paid outs
• Monitoring Third Party Delivery services
• Monitoring rent and lease obligations
• File Monthly Sales Tax Returns (multiple states)
• Assist operational team with accounting related requests or needs
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization and hospitality community.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
