About the role

We are focused on changing the renewable energy industry and as a Junior Software Developer, you will have an opportunity to be part of this mission.

We are looking for a candidate who wants to do work that has an impact, not just in the industry but also in the environment. Your ability to ask questions, solve problems, and be an integral part of an open collaborative team will be a catalyst for your success.

You will work with the Frontend team to implement, test, and deploy features and improve the user experience. You will work closely with the UX team and continuously improve the workflow and make sure we are using best practices and user research-based techniques.

What you’ll be doing

Develop, implement and test client-facing interfaces

Work closely with the design team and transform mockups into real web experiences

Maintain and improve the performance of existing software functionality

Work closely with your colleagues to help meet your team’s objectives and goals

Learn and apply Clir’s development best practices

Participate in scoping and sizing project work with your team

What you’ll need

A keen eye for design and experience with web development

Experience or exposure building and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant SaaS products

Experience or exposure with effective agile and software development practices

1+ years experience as a software developer

Bonus

Experience with charts and data visualization

Experience with any of Javascript, CSS, React, Python, MySQL

Participation in Hackathons or personal side projects

Interest working in a startup environment

Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills

Ability to write internal technical documentation
