The Role:
The Finance Team is looking for a Regional Bakery Controller to…
Have overall responsibility for the financial control and reporting of US manufacturing facility’s financial performance, safeguarding plant assets, and supporting business decisions with thorough analysis. This leadership position will be responsible for identifying trends and building and maintaining positive internal and external customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities
· Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed.
· Manage all finance and accounting for US manufacturing facilities in Indianapolis and Twin Falls. Ensure timely and accurate financial and operational reporting relating to overall financial performance. Manage consistency and transparency in financial reporting for both US bakery facilities, oversight and compliance with process, procedures, and internal controls.
· Manage month-end close procedures and related monthly reports and statements, all bakery reconciliations, prepaids, inventory and reserves.
· Monitor risks, while maintaining control procedures, costing processes and other manufacturing-related process analysis. Maintain proper internal and external financial controls including cycle counting, inventory and fixed assets.
· Capital expenditure management including ROI analysis and fixed asset accounting.
· Provide financial analysis and recommendations based on information relative to the organizational financial strategies.
· Coordinate and collaborate on collection of information relative to production, product costing, operational efficiencies, manufacturing costs – labor, material, overhead, variance analysis, transportation, receiving, material cost, by product sales and disposal.
· Manage the annual, quarterly, and long term budgeting process for the bakery. Work closely with budget owners to develop targets and detailed budgets.
· Prepare reporting and presentations related to the bakery budgeting process, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow forecast and operational business plans.
· Act as a strategic partner for implementing Smart Spending culture across both bakeries and driving future cost reductions and investments.
· Perform other related duties as requested.

Technical Expertise Required

· Proven experience in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated integrity and a constructive approach to challenges.
· Working knowledge of GAAP, manufacturing accounting, food manufacturing environment.
· Experience with financial systems (ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel).
Education/Training Required
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related field.
· Professional CPA license.
· 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing or food production environment.
