Salary level: £45-60,000 p.a

To help us scale, we’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to find the most exciting engineering & data talent in Europe. We’re after someone who is excited & driven by our mission and hellbent on building an inclusive & amazing team.

The role

As a Technical Recruiter, you will be joining our close-knit Talent team of 6 where you’ll become an expert on hiring Data & Analytics talent for Cleo. This will include building out our teams across Data Science, Data Engineering, Product Analyst, Fraud & Credit Risk.

Behind the product is a talented team of 170 (slightly rebellious) doers and an open culture that’s rare in tech. To help us scale, we’re looking for a Tech Recruiter, Data to bring in the most exciting talent in engineering in Europe. We’re after someone who is passionate about our mission and hellbent on building an inclusive and amazing team. We’re picky, but that doesn’t really matter, because you are too.

What you’ll be doing

We’re proud of the product and team that we’ve built: your role will be fundamental in making sure Cleo keeps being an inspiring, entertaining and progressive place to work. We’re a tight-knit supportive team and we’re looking for someone we can learn from. This role will have a focus on delivery but also process improvement and some project work.

Day to day:

• Work with our hiring managers to develop innovative recruitment strategies. Bring your weird ideas!
• Push Cleo’s values. Make sure candidates’ motivations and passions resonate with ours
• Scout problems in the hiring process and bring new solutions to the table
• Explore new effective sourcing strategies and back them up with data – we need you to be our Talent team sourcing geek and to know which tools are most effective when headhunting Data Scientists, Data Engineer and Product Analysts
• Craft compelling outreach emails that get people excited about our brand. Expertly use tools to A/B test them and bring out the best response rates
• Use curated content and blog posts from our various teams to engage and interest prospective candidates. Keep in touch with the brightest and best so that when they’re looking for a new job, Cleo is top of their list.
• Identify key meetups / conferences for Cleo to participate in, host, sponsor, whatever. If it will elevate our employer brand, you’ll help us get involved.

Ideally, we’d love someone to join who is OK with occasional travel to our London office for team offsites but we’re happy with this role being mostly remote-based within the UK.

About you

• You enjoy the art of sourcing awesome talent. You get that buzzy feeling when a great candidate responds to your reachout, after a great candidate call, or maybe you’ve found a new sourcing hack – these things excite you 🙂
• You’re a good storyteller. Being able to craft compelling & authentic value propositions for candidates is crucial to be successful.
• Strong understanding of the type of roles within Data & Analytics gained from being an internal Talent Partner, or working on similar roles in an agency
• Proven track record in utilizing data to improve funnel conversion and to advise your hiring managers on process improvements
• You should care about D&I and have experience integrating D&I into pipelining activities

Logistics

The application process for this role will consist of a video call with a member of the Talent team, followed by a task and video call with our Head of Tech Talent (Aaron Smith) and our Head of non-tech Talent (Annie Jackson), as well as get-to-know calls with other members of our team, all remotely via Google Meet or Zoom.

UK App access: The Cleo app is no longer downloadable in the UK (but only until next year). If you’re an existing user, you’ll still have access to the app. But some features won’t be available (just for a little while). Why? 99% of our users are based in the US – where financial health is often overlooked. We’ve decided to shift our focus to where we can provide the most value and make the greatest impact for users who need it most.
