ClearStream Energy Services Hiring for Training & Assessment Specialist at Fort McMurray, AB Full Time

Job Description:
You will be responsible for facilitating the assessment and training of heavy equipment operators through the use of the Flint simulator fleet as to allow them to be safely deployed to industry sites. This role reports to the Area Manager and is based out of Fort McMurray operating centre.

This is position based out of Fort McMurray, AB working on a 7-7 rotation, 12 hours per day. Applicants must be able to commucte to the office for all shifts.

What you’ll be doing:
You will assess the capability level of heavy equipment operator candidate; using our fleet of simulators (Haul truck, excavator, dozer, grader, loader, and articulating truck

Train new candidates with limited or no experience on the fundamentals of heavy equipment operation

Coordinate the simulator fleet in terms of maintenance, software updates, upgrades and technical support

Track and trend analytics of the success and failure rates on each simulator, as well as the cumulative fleet and provide standardized reporting to management on utilization and other analytic metrics

Develop, update and provide continual improvement for training and assessment programs

Deliver team member orientations both in person and via web based teleconference, instilling our positive Flint culture to all new team members

Develop, update and provide continual improvement for the orientation processes

Work with our recruitment team and support the recruitment process through providing industry and equipment knowledge, engaging candidates directly and further supports during peak times

Support area HSE and functional initiatives; with a focus on PPE management

Support corporate safety audits, leadership training and 3rd party training resources

Support area administrative, logistics and operations team with eFiling systems, data entry/collection and supply delivers to area sites

We would love to hear from you if you have:
You have a minimum 3 year’s operating rigid frame haul trucks is an asset

You have a minimum 5 year’s operating in an industry environment that includes dozers, excavators, articulating trucks, graders and front end loaders is an asset

You have a minimum 5 year’s working in an open pit mining environment is an asset

Field training or simulator training experience is an asset

Completion of a formal heavy equipment training certification program that includes all or some of the listed equipment in which you will be simulating on.

Post-secondary education is an asset

Human resource experience is an asset

NCSO or equivalent HSE accreditation is an asset

Class 5 or equivalent (non-GDL) drivers license

You have strong knowledge of operation technics and physical components of rigid frame haul truck, dozers, excavators, articulating truck, graders and front end loaders

You have an understanding of Flint operations and assess/train in accordance with the unique requirements of each applicable operation

Strong computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word & Powerpoint)

Strong organizational and time management skill

You are a team player and able to work in a fast paced group environment, with little direct supervision

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to public speak in front of small and large crowds
