Clearfield, Inc Hiring for Fiber Technical Trainer Job at Remote Full Time

POSITION TITLE: Fiber Technical Trainer

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Deliver Clearfield’s product training curriculum that also includes the Fiber Optic Association certifications.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct training courses that cover product specific and technology specific applications.
  • Deliver the Clearfield Certification courses.
  • Assist with training of internal employees.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering and other teams to accomplish necessary training tasks.
• Assist in creating curriculum for customer specific trainings
  • Assist in developing the plan for instruction, manageable instructional units, lesson plans, needed resources and teaching strategies
  • Assist in creation of product technical documentation and video production
• Remain abreast of current industry, supplier, and technology standards and new developments to ensure continuous improvement of knowledge and support activity to assure company’s products and training remain up-to-date and competitive.
• Help to determine overall effectiveness of programs and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Analyze training report data to identify problems or trends
  • Display an ardent, entrepreneurial approach to problem solving in the field and in the classroom.
• Execute “First-Time” Install responsibilities working with customers in the field.
  • Exercise communication and interpersonal skills in delivering on-site product installation training
  • Produce a training schedule and agenda for each classroom session.
  • Manage the ordering and delivery of hands-on samples for trainings.
  • Arrange for and conduct on-site trainings for customers
  • Keep and report data on completed courses. Reporting to FOA a must after exams.
• Complete preventative maintenance to ensure equipment, tools and product operate properly
• Follow organization standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and healthy training environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Five years of communications industry experience with demonstrable and progressive experience in technical training and development. Fiber related experience strongly preferred.
• Post high school education with certification/degree in adult education preferred.
• Industry related certifications from FOA, ETA, BICSII, etc.
• Excellent proficiency with M/S Suite, especially Power Point.
• Demonstrable and able to thrive in fast-paced, interrupt driven environment.
• Travel up to eighty (80%) of time.
• Able to handle personal travel expenses with weekly reimbursement as incurred.
• Demonstrable technical writing skill with instructional documentation and video production.

SALARY RANGE: $66,700 – $100,100
