Position Summary:
Clear Creek School District RE1 is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide direct instructional inclusion and assessment services to students with mild disabilities.

Requirements:

• Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist endorsement
• Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area

Qualifications:

• Ability to write meaningful standards-based Individual Educational Plans in compliance with IDEA regulations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, staff and administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High ethical standards
• Passion for student growth and achievement
• First Aid and CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities:

• Develop an individualized educational program to meet the needs of students with mild/moderate disabilities
• Provide services in compliance with the Individual Educational Support Plan
• Coordinate services as case manager for assigned students
• Provide direct instruction to students mild/moderate disabilities
• Collect progress monitoring data and create progress monitoring graphs based on that data that will inform instructional decision-making
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with families
• Collaborate with parents and staff to develop effective programming
• Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and assessments for special education students
• Other duties as assigned (based on consultation with Director of Special Education)

Benefits:
Employees who are scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more are eligible to obtain district health benefits which includes medical, dental, vision, and life. Currently the District contributes a portion toward these benefits. This position also qualifies for PTO leave which is determined by the position’s work hear. Clear Creek School District is a public employer and participates in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association plan (PERA). All employees are required by state stature to contribute the current % rate of salary on a pre-tax basis to PERA. The District also contributes, based on current % rates.

Our Schools:
Clear Creek Middle & High School is located on Floyd Hill in Evergreen, situated on a beautiful mountain campus. The high school has just over 200 students and the middle school just over 100 students. Class sizes are small and our students flourish in a positive student culture. We have numerous clubs, activities, and teams for students and great value our strong community support.
