The role

An exciting opportunity has been created in our HR team for someone who will be responsible for the talent acquisition for the Queensland Solid Waste Services Business in an environment hungry for blue collar talent. We want to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. As we evolve our recruitment model, systems, processes and continue our leading-practice talent acquisition strategies, you will play a key role in implementing these across the business for both blue and white collar roles but particularly for high-volume Driver acquisitions.

• Create a great onboarding experience for new recruits
• Manage candidates and build talent pools in Pageup
• Coordination of the end to end recruitment process, including (where applicable) briefing, advertising, screening, participation in interviews, and coordination of onboarding experience
• Build recruitment and marketing campaigns for high volume roles
• Partner with Managers and business Leaders to understand recruitment needs. Help drive a culture of diversity and inclusion
• Maintain accurate and adequate reporting of recruitment activity to support talent acquisition insights
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Hiring Managers and other key stakeholders within the business to deliver talent acquisition needs

• Experience recruiting across a range of roles and disciplines using innovative sourcing methodologies and non-traditional channels
• Proven experience in a similar role recruiting volume in the blue-collar space within an RPO, agency or internally will set you up for success
• Significant recruitment experience working across a breadth of roles in an in-house/RPO environment
• High level of initiative second only to your attention to detail
• Sound time management skills – a sense of urgency without compromising quality or accuracy
• Passionate about the candidate experience and engaging talent
• Outstanding relationship and stakeholder management skills, capable of dealing with all levels
• Ability to handle high-volume recruitment and work to targets
