About the role

Based out of our amazing office in Surfers Paradise, Digital Director is a newly created role that will to the Chief Strategy Officer, who in turn oversees the entire strategy and media team. 

You’ll own relationships with digital publishers and drive innovation across our digital media offering from both client facing and internal viewpoints. AI weaves its way through the fabric of each department day to day at Claxon and we’re looking for you to further amplify that adoption across digital media.

You’ll own digital media performance across all channels and work closely with heads of department (Social, Search, SEO, Programmatic) to ensure that your team is exceeding client expectations across our client portfolio.

You’ll infuse exceptional standards of work while inspiring, developing, and lifting the overall level of output across digital media whilst working intimately with the creative, strategy and data & analytics teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the agency’s expert in digital media, staying up to date on the very latest trends, platforms, and technologies. 
• Develop and implement best practices for planning and buying while adapting to the always changing landscape
• Develop and deliver integrated data driven digital strategies in line with client and partner objectives
• Strategic direction, development and optimisation of paid social, paid search, programmatic and SEO teams
• Lead digital publisher and partner relationships 
• Identify and communicate new channel and optimisation opportunities to clients and the client services team
• Prepare and present (when required) client ing; identifying and communicating new opportunities, value delivered, and strategic direction.
• Use statistics to influence best-outcome digital activity for future campaigns
• Work collaboratively with the creative, strategy, experience and data teams
• Keep up to date with martech & adtech developments to continually innovate for the agency and partners

Having a commercial mindset and strong leadership, the successful candidate will be able to identify and create opportunities that add value to Claxon and our client’s business, whilst striving to deliver to the Claxon standard.

About you

• Genuine drive to provide a world-class client experience and feel at home within a fast-paced agency environment
• You’re an experienced Digital Director and will thrive on the opportunity to work closely with the heads of search, social, SEO and programmatic
• At least 5 years experience driving successful performance media outcomes across paid social channels (agency side preferred but this can also be client side)
• You’re data-led in everything you do
• Must have experience across Meta, LinkedIn, Google and GA, DSPs, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, Spotify, Tik Tok
• Strong experience across eComm
• Experience managing and scaling budgets ($100,000 per month) for multiple clients at a time
• Experience in working with creative and strategy teams
• Ability to talk about digital media as effortlessly as you breathe
• Experience working within the Microsoft suite of products
