We are hiring a Front-End Instructor. The Front-End instructor is responsible for the instruction and support of the students in our front-end engineering program. In addition, this position supports key operational functions of the school, including supporting the Team Lead.
An ideal candidate for this role is someone passionate about education and technology with a strong technical background. It is crucial that a candidate is not only experienced with foundational web technologies in a professional capacity but also can convey that information through leadership and empathy. As an instructor, you will be on the team responsible for guiding each cohort of students from the early stages of the program through graduation.

Schedule may change depending on planning factors.
Instructors will be able to teach a minimum 15 hours per week.
Instructors will also deliver a workshop and a webinar every 3 months for marketing purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Executing the curriculum of our front-end program by preparing daily lectures.
• Participating in online pre-class and in-class sessions
• Moderating the classroom and delivering lectures, facilitate lab work, homework assignments, and student projects.
• Providing written and verbal feedback on student projects, assignments.
• Reporting of student progress on daily stand-up meetings.
• Continuing to improve our curriculum by giving feedback and working with our curriculum partners to incorporate updates into our program as needed.
• Working with your team to ensure program events are fully supported (alumni and employer events, workshops, team works, career day, orientation, etc)
• Responding to student inquiries and requests for assistance as needed through chat/zoom etc…
• Representing Clarusway IT School by being a good role model and participating in community events.
• Delivering Workshops and Webinars on Front-End topics in Clarusway marketing events

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of professional react developer experience.
• Educational and/or mentorship experience.
• The ability to respond quickly to requests for service or assistance.
• Experience with modern javascript frontend frameworks (React).
• Knowledge of foundational web technologies (HTML, CSS, Advanced Javascript)
• Experience with the followings:
• Modern source control systems (e.g. git)
• Modern hosting and deployment platforms(e.g. Heroku, Netlify, Vercel, Firebase)
• Modern UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, SASS, Material-UI, etc.)

Additional Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with giving technical talks or lectures.
• Experience with professional growth and development (team building, technical lead, coaching/recruiting, etc).
• Strong English speaking and teaching skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $40.00 – $100.00 per hour
