Clark State College Hiring for Instructional Faculty, Geospatial Technology & Program Coordinator Job at Springfield, OH Full Time

A full-time, 12-month, instructional faculty position in the GIS/Geospatial Technology program is available beginning January, 7 2022. A master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Technology, or a related field is required. Candidates must have career experience in GIS and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). A Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is preferred by the position’s start date, and experience in precision agriculture is highly desirable. Collegiate/adult-level teaching and online teaching experience are also strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and techniques to enhance student learning. The successful candidate will also have a strong team and interpersonal skills. Primary duties include in-person classroom and online teaching; curriculum and course development; student academic advising; assessment of student learning; program promotion and student recruitment; and participation in college-wide initiatives. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, the ability to work in teams, and the flexibility to teach day or evening hours at the College’s locations in Springfield and Beavercreek. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work effectively in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position reports to the Dean in the School of Business and Applied Technologies located at the Springfield Leffel Lane main campus.
