What will you work on?

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, the Software Development Team Lead will create, enhance, and maintain our product suite. We work in a highly collaborative agile development environment; this role is involved in many different development initiatives across the company. You will operate as a team leader within our development org, managing and participating in collaborative, solutioning activities. You will develop the best software for citizens and government employees around North America.

Manage and provide mentorship to a team of 2 – 5 software developers. Guide and support direct reports in the building of their career and learning objective

Create, enhance and support applications on and off the Salesforce platform

Translate user stories into technical design specifications for web service integrations, object-oriented classes and event triggers

Lead Agile/Scrum stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to plan, design, code and review development tasks

Create visual representations of logical business processes using appropriate industry standards

Be a master at load balancing your availability to stakeholders for day-to-day activities and release deadlines

Proactively suggest improvements to the development process through engagement and feedback within the development team or with management

Work with Product Management and external department stakeholders to drive solutions through to successful implementation and delivery

Coordinate with Technical Services/Support and Product Management for timely bug fix deployments

What you bring to the team

5+ years of experience designing and constructing solutions using cloud and web-based technologies

Experience guiding and supporting peers and team activities

Experience creating and consuming web RESTful services

Proficiency in client web development technologies (JavaScript frameworks, cross-browser/cross-domain) and server-side code such as Java, C#, Python or Ruby

Experience accurately scoping and breaking down technical problems

Expertise creating and implementing technical architecture and design

Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle and owning complete delivery of software solutions

Experience evaluating and maintaining Continuous IntegrationI/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methods

Experience developing using the Agile/Scrum methodology

Ability to pick up new languages quickly and an enthusiasm for learning new Salesforce and industry technologies

Excellent researching and analyzing skills

Self-starting, ability to adapt and “can-do” attitude for a dynamic and result-driven environment

Excellent communication skills and ability to anticipate needs of the technical, partner and customer rep teams
