Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role as a Logistics Specialist? We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to manage daily import, export, local distribution, and warehousing activities. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating import and export desk activities for various shipment methods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries with inventory precision; and initiate and rollout logistics improvement projects. Join our team in Notting Hill, Melbourne and be part of a dynamic logistics operation.

Responsibilities

Logistics Services:

• Respond promptly to daily logistics inquiries and take necessary actions.
• Efficiently manage import/export desk operations for air, sea, courier shipments to/from the country.
• Maintain freight rates in SAP and ensure the accuracy of documentation, including filing for import/export customs audits, ing, and declarations.
• Monitor movements of local and traded finished goods to meet customer requirements.
• Validate and process 3PL service invoices for prompt payment processing.
• Maintain the SAP freight module.

Warehouse Operations

• Monitor 3PL warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate inventory receiving and dispatch.
• Review inventories to enable business units to achieve growth targets with optimal inventory levels.
• Process SAP orders promptly for on-time customer dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with ESHA warehouse guidelines.
• Logistics Service Procurement (RFQ) & Improvement Projects:
• Manage and procure all local 3rd party transport and warehousing services.
• Source and optimize logistics services for all business units, ensuring the security of supplies and deliveries.
• Negotiate service prices and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to finalize terms and contracts.
• Manage PR and PO processes for prompt invoice processing and approval.

Logistics Management

• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance, including ESHA and Transport Safety (Chain of Responsibility).
• Manage the resolution of logistics-related complaints using the SAP Quality Notification System.
• Review and identify opportunities for domestic distribution network design improvements.
• Participate in projects and service review meetings with business units and logistics providers on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and relevant logistics software.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvements.
