PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Associate Registrar and Transcript Evaluation Specialist performs transcript evaluations of degree and course work for incoming baccalaureate degree students and documentation of alternative credit and/or prior learning submitted by students in accordance with the mission, policies, and purposes of the University.

RESPONSIBILITIES: All responsibilities are presumed to reflect the effective implementation of best practices.
Technology will be leveraged as an enabler whenever practical. Internal controls will be installed to ensure that all activities comply with acknowledged standards of fiduciary due care, non-conflicts of interest and confidentiality.

• Serves as a member of undergraduate student success team;
• Evaluates transcripts, prior learning documents, and other educational credentials to determine acceptable transfer and alternative credit;
• Accesses and enters student data into appropriate Student Information System program;
• Provides quality customer service to all students, faculty, and staff;
• Updates and maintains confidential student educational records;
• Provides assistance in completing student records projects, i.e., archiving records, transfer and alternative credit documentation, articulation verification, and other projects;
• Processes transcript requests and enrollment verification requests;
• Provides assistance and/or backup for international credential evaluations;
• Assists Registrar in maintaining undergraduate student degree documentation and records;
• Assists in the set up and implementation of the TES system;
• Assists in training faculty and enrollment advisors in transcript evaluation, Prior Learning Assessment, Credit for Prior

Learning, international student matriculation, and other related policies;

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; and
• Three year’s office work experience in a detail-oriented position in a registrar’s office or higher education institution.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Comfortable with various forms of technology including SIS and CRM applications, Microsoft Suite, and Google

Workspace applications;

• TES certified;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• General office skills (filing, typing, answering of phone, customer oriented and attention to detail);
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• A willingness to learn, research, and process tremendous amounts of information;
• Ability to work independently toward established goals and deadlines;
