You have some exposure to multiple programming languages and you are eager to learn more, especially Java EE, APEX (salesforce.com integration). THE COMPANY: Civicom is a growing and entrepreneurial company with 500+ employees across five locations and 20 brands in four general areas — telecommunications, iPhone/Droid Apps, marketing research technology facilitation, and transcription/data entry. We have 25 developers who have created and managed platforms in Java, Java Enterprise, Python, SQL/MySQL, .NET, Perl, C#, Voice XML, Asterisk, WebRTC, HTML/5, JavaScript, and PHP. Our company has a flexible team-oriented environment, a global orientation, an open workspace, and was a “Buy Forward” pioneer that gives 5-10% of profits to its own unique charity. The company HQ is near the New York/Connecticut border with additional US offices in CA, CO, and NH.

THE JOB: You would either join (a) a team that is developing a salesforce.com integration using APEX and PHP, or (b) a small machine learning/data science team. We flexibly match the developer’s capabilities and interests with company priorities and assignments can evolve over time.

You will also be exposed to a broader team, enabling you to learn about other platforms. Since you would be working at the company HQ where the proximate team is small and we all wear many hats, you would also be asked to learn about and help with occasional hardware and network troubleshooting.

You must live near the NY/CT border or be willing to move there.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience/capability, with a base plus quarterly bonus.
