HR Advisor

This is an exciting role for a Human Resources Advisor who wants to make a real difference, both internally though your HR work and also externally in the community as a key member of the Citywide team.

Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, you will be supporting our North/West operational managers, ensuring proper guidance and correct HR practices are followed.

This role is a 12 month contract for Parental Leave Cover.

More details about your responsibilities:

As our HR Advisor, you will see yourself…

• Providing advice and support to Management in relation to all aspects of the employment cycle
• Assisting in driving internal change aligned with the business objectives
• Building strong internal relationships with the management team
• Actively participating in building a strong culture of safety internally
• Providing leadership and support to management on all aspects of the employee relations cycle, particularly industrial relations and employee relations matters
• Promoting the development and implementation of best practice Human Resources strategies, policies, programs and procedures
• Representing the organisation where required in negotiations with unions and employees
• Overseeing legal risk and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Fair Work Act and relevant Awards
• Supporting managers with individual employee issues

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Experience in a similar Human Resources role
• Ideally have experience across similar industries such as industrial or construction
• Hold relevant HR qualifications
• Some experience with IR, ER and dealing with unions
• Experience building strong internal relationships with managers
• A positive attitude and team focus
