In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Business Partnering Finance Manager. You will also be supporting our operational managers to deliver financial support and analysis that is aligned to the Operational and Financial objectives.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Be the key point of contact for operational business leaders with regards to operational performance and reporting.
• Monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast for the relevant business unit, which includes contract performance, reviews, management reports, P&L, cash flow reporting and balance sheet analysis.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure that major change events are supported by appropriate financial analysis.
• Drive the annual budgeting process for the relevant business unit’s P&L, Balance sheet.
• Drive the forecasting process for the relevant business unit’s P&L.
• Conduct scenario analysis for various value add initiatives.
• Mentor and train the business stakeholders in the management of their financial accountabilities which include budget and forecast management, billing, and collections of outstanding invoices, WIP management, procurement, etc.
• Provide financial modelling and other financial assistance to all the business unit’s tender proposals including assistance in compiling business case justification for capital expenditure requests.
• Assist in growth initiatives which include due diligence assessments of target businesses, mergers, or JV opportunities.
• Assist the Corporate Finance team with annual statutory requirements which includes the provision of information to auditors.
• Develop initiatives to improve processes and identify efficiencies.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Prior experience in a similar Finance Business Partner role.
• Prior local government, waste management or logistics experience preferred but not essential.
• Must be CPA/CA qualified.
• Experience building strong internal relationships with managers.
• A positive attitude and team focus.
