How can you change it up?

Our Software team builds, tests and refines our systems, developing new features to add value to the colleagues, customers and partners who use them. You’ll be specifically focusing on maintaining a QA practise which drives the quality of our in-house developed applications along with our commercial package configurations.

Using your technical skill set and experience, you’ll be producing clear, consistent and functional test suites and scripts, making sure that quality is validated for every change of code. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:

• Writing test scripts / feature files using BDD format
• Creating and managing defects through the Kanban lifecycle
• Supporting in squad meetings or refinements, retrospectives and demos
• Supporting the product owner and business analyst to understand requirements

You’ll be familiar with all stages of the test lifecycle, from test planning to defect tracking and managing the defect lifecycle, as well as a good understanding of the software development lifecycle. We’re also hoping you can bring some of the following with you to CityFibre:

• Hands on experience with automation testing
• Linux / Unix
• Experience testing APIs
• MySQL or PostgreSQL (including querying and creating test data)
• Some testing experience for multi-tier application architecture, regression, GUI, system, black box, performance and end-to-end testing
• A good working knowledge of source control systems such as Git
