We are conscious that business schools are experiencing disruption in how research is undertaken and disseminated, in how education is delivered and in what is expected by business and society from a business school.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, delivering high quality teaching and teaching support activities to undergraduate, postgraduate and executive audiences, module leadership, designing module curriculum and content, assessment and marking, student support and mentoring, promoting new teaching, learning and assessment methods.
The successful candidate can expect to deliver modules in accounting to undergraduate and master students in accounting, finance and management. The role may develop to include delivery of MBA and/or Executive Education programmes in due course.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a degree of scholarship in areas of accountancy relevant to teaching assignments consistent with ensuring high quality teaching informed by current theory and practice.

Person Specification

Candidates should have, or be close to obtaining a PhD, in finance or economics by the post start date. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the potential to publish innovative, rigorous, and relevant contributions in top academic journals.
They can have an expertise in any area of Finance with a well-developed research strategy for future outstanding research, that has the potential to result in world-leading publications in their area[s] of specialism. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to teach finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
