City, University of London Hiring for Junior IT Service Desk Analyst Job at London, England Full Time

Background

City are looking to hire a full time Junior IT Service Desk Analyst, fixed term until 30th June 2023. This is a Junior /entry level role. You will be responsible for level 1 and 2 software and hardware support, predominately via telephone, face to face at service points, via email or via the web.

Responsibilities

You will provide technical advice, guidance, and informal training to customers using hardware and software programs. You will troubleshoot and restore routine technical service and equipment problems by analysing, identifying and diagnosing faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures. The majority of resolutions are completed “remotely”.

Person Specification

You will have a good understanding of systems software eg: Windows &, UNIX, Mac OSx, and be a competent user of desktop computer systems. You will be proficient in Task of Service desk and incident management (Level 1) and have a basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications and services relevant to a university environment. You will have good communication and problem solving skills and a commitment to customer service excellence.
