Status: Full-time, Non-exempt

SUMMARY
Under immediate supervision, responsible for performing a variety of apprentice level duties involved in the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility distribution or collection systems, equipment, and facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Certifications/Licenses:
WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR I
Experience: One year of experience performing construction related activities.
Certifications/Licenses:
WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR II
Experience: Two years of experience in water production and/or distribution system operations.
Certifications/Licenses:
WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR III
Experience: Four years of experience in water production and/or distribution system operations.
Certifications/Licenses:
WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR IV
Experience: Six years of experience in water production and/or distribution system operations.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 100 lbs., and wear protective apparel; exposure to heat, noise, outdoors, vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, explosive materials, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, and traffic hazards.
