Job Summary
This position performs supervisory functions related to the provision of reliable and responsive citizen service by the Corporate Revenue Department.
s to the Utility Revenue Services Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Supervises the activities of the Utility Billing group, including overseeing delivery of service, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring alignment with section and departmental goals and objectives.
2. Supervises, schedules and trains assigned staff, and ensures duties are performed in accordance with City and departmental policies and standards. Assists with the recruitment process and performs disciplinary action, as required.
3. Acts as a point escalation for resolving complaints and complex issues regarding utility billing inquiries.
4. Maintains a current knowledge of all bylaws, policies and legislation relating to the services provided by the Department.
5. Reviews and recommends improvements to utility billing procedures, policies, and programs.
6. Develops and maintains partnerships with internal and external partners including the approval and management of Service Level Agreements and related Grades of Service and performance measurements.
7. Assists with the development of operating procedures, manuals and directives for the section and monitors and ensures accuracy in responses to public inquiries and implementation of policies.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Weekly Hours: 36.67
Salary Range: $69,429.12 to $76,545.84 CAD per annum (2023 rates)
