The role:

Our Financial Services team currently has an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as our Accounting Support Cadet.

Your role will entail assisting with various aspects of accounting, including:

• the preparation of end of month and end of year processes
• Annual financial statements and associated returns;
• Reconciliation of Council’s bank accounts and other associated reconciliations
• Budget variance analysis as required;
• Council’s various tax returns, including FBT and GST
• administrative tasks associated with transaction and journal processing.

Specialist Skills, Required Knowledge and Conditions:

• Currently undertaking tertiary studies in Accounting or Commerce.
• Basic knowledge of accounting.

Who you are:

We are looking for someone with a passion for numbers and customer service, hoping to cement a career in the Finance & Accounting Industry. No experience necessary, but you must be currently studying as detailed above.
