ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As our new Senior Talent Consultant, you will be the “Concierge of Recruiting” for our city’s hiring managers. This means going above and beyond the typical responsibilities of a recruiter to provide exceptional and personalized support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. Like a concierge in a hotel who caters to guests’ needs and ensures a seamless experience, the Senior Talent Consultant focuses on making the hiring manager’s job easier and more efficient. Here’s what the Senior Talent Consultant does for hiring managers:

Understanding Hiring Needs: The Senior Talent Consultant works closely with hiring managers to gain a deep understanding of their department’s staffing needs, including specific job requirements, essential skills, and team dynamics.

Crafting Effective Job Ads: Based on the information gathered from hiring managers, the Senior Talent Consultant creates compelling and behaviorally oriented job ads that attract qualified candidates who align with the organization’s values and culture.

Pre-Screening and Vetting Candidates: Leveraging their broad knowledge of different industries and roles, the Senior Talent Consultant takes on the task of pre-screening and vetting candidate applications to present only the most suitable candidates to the hiring manager, saving them time and effort.

Coaching and Advising: Acting as a trusted advisor, the Senior Talent Consultant offers guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the candidate selection process. They may provide insights on interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and best practices for hiring decisions.

Scheduling and Coordination: The Senior Talent Consultant handles the logistics of scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate assessments, and managing the hiring process’s key milestones, streamlining the entire recruitment journey for multiple recruitments at once.

Providing Market Insights: Staying updated on industry trends, the Senior Talent Consultant shares valuable market insights with hiring managers, such as talent availability, salary benchmarks, and other relevant data to aid in recruitment strategy.

Brand Representation: As a brand ambassador, the Senior Talent Consultant reinforces the City of Redmond’s employer brand and values during all interactions with candidates as well as on LinkedIn ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Candidate Experience Enhancement: The Senior Talent Consultant focuses on providing a positive and inclusive candidate experience, reflecting positively on the City of Redmond and enhancing its reputation.

Data-Driven Decision-Making: Using data and metrics, the Senior Talent Consultant helps hiring managers make informed and data-driven hiring decisions to improve the quality of hire.

Continuous Improvement: The Senior Talent Consultant consistently seeks feedback from hiring managers and HR Business Partners to identify areas for improvement in the recruitment process and proactively implements changes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of recruitment experience.
  • Any combination equivalent of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • This position is currently a limited duration contract position and it is anticipated to last through 12/31/2024.
