Job Description
Everything but recruitment? You won’t be chasing purple squirrels and unicorns in this role. This is a “behind the scenes” position where your goal is to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time when it comes to hiring.
The Talent Acquisition Support Specialist works closely with colleagues and assigned departments to create job postings, advertise positions, screen, hire, and preboard candidates across various functional areas and locations.
Interactions with hiring departments and candidates require exceptional communication, time management and organizational skills as well as experience with technology.
We’re currently seeking an organized and outgoing person to join our amazing team as a permanent part-time Talent Acquisition Support Specialist to help facilitate and execute the delivery of high-volume recruiting and pre-boarding for the city.
Our ideal candidate is customer-focused with exceptional organizational, communication, and follow up skills with a strong attention to detail.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work autonomously but be team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible as we shift responsibilities to best support our rapidly growing city and make enhancements to the services we provide to our organization.

This is a permanent part-time position that will work 30 to 35 hours a week and contributes into the LGERS retirement plan.
In addition, this position is eligible for medical benefits and 40% tele-work; flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Follows up with candidate when there are challenges in scheduling drug test, request for adverse actions, references, etc.
Communicates with new hires and hiring managers that new hires are cleared to start
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required and two (2) years of customer service, administrative, or human resources experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Computer Skills :
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Pro) and familiarity with Applicant Tracking System.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred but not required.

Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work :
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work, and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light work.
Working Conditions :
Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment.
