About the Role…
The Finance Assets Partner forms part of the Finance team who work cohesively together to help drive effective and efficient business outcomes for the organisation.
Partnering with the Assets & Delivery Department, the position provides technical expertise and advice on asset capitalisation, handovers and valuations, focuses on continuous improvement in Council’s asset accounting processes and prepares month end reports, and reports for executive and Council.
The Finance Assets Partner respectfully challenges senior leaders on their strategic plans, budgeting and forecasting through generating cross functional insights into drivers for the delivery capital program.

About You…
You are a proactive and self-sufficient individual with the ability to provide timely and accurate financial information and advice on asset capitalisation that help drive business outcomes.
You enjoy building trusting and credible relationships with key stakeholders so you can confidently understand their business and in turn provide both financial and non financial key insights, commerciality and timely analysis. You have a well developed understanding of your organisation’s strategic objectives and can influence different ways of thinking with your key stakeholders.
You are passionate about process improvement and seeking out new innovative approaches to problem solving with a sense of curiosity.
We are looking for applicants who hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce, and ideally hold CPA/CA qualification.
