About the opportunity

The Regulatory Services Education and Policy Lead is responsible for developing, implementing and promoting Council’s animal management strategy, policy framework and public education programs for our community. These range of programs and services will positively contribute to the delivery of the Community Plan focussing on animal management, community safety and sustainable and strategic project delivery.

We are looking for someone to effectively champion, develop and educate the community on Council policy and regulatory requirements and apply an energetic and consultative approach. With qualifications in law, public policy, education, conservation or other related fields, our ideal candidate will have proven animal education experience covering welfare, conservation and community education.

Your proven program and project management experience including budget management and ability to understandand work effectively with NT Government legislation and Council By-Laws will make you the ideal candidate to join us.

This role is an exciting new opportunity within the Regulatory Services team and your positive attitude and commitment to champion our Customer Charter will make you the right person for the role.
