About the Position:
Working for the City of Monash at the Brine Street Child Care Centre in Hughesdale, you will support quality educational programs in accordance with the principles of the National Quality Framework. You will have previous experience contributing to the cycle of observations & planning in an education and caresetting, must have strong team ethics, strong communication skills, and knowledge of children’s development and be rewarded by enhancing the lives of children and their families.

Skills and Experience:
Certificate III Children’s Services (minimum)

Current First Aid Training – HLTAID004

Ability to work a range of shifts between 6.45 am to 6.00 pm

Ability to Work effectively with all team members within the early years setting

Previous experience in providing quality customer service

Ability to build collaborative relationships with, families and children.

Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care National Law Act 2010.

Ability to maintain a safe and environmentally sustainable environment for children.

Ability to share your early childhood philosophy

Requirement of the position:
Employee Working with Children’s Check

Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.

Essential Information:
In accordance with the Chief Health Officer direction, all local government employees must be fully vaccinated from 26 November, 2021. Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
